Game Updates

  • Crusaders Take 2nd in State

    The boys soccer team placed 2nd in state for the first time is school history.  The Crusaders won their semifinal game in dramatic fashion with a 1-0 PK shoot out win over Cape Notre Dame.  After 110 minutes of no scoring Conor Dermody and Forrest McCurren scored their PK shots while Jorden Bax came up with 3 huge saves and the team won 2-1 in the shoot out.  In the championship game on Saturday night Bryce Mihalevich scored in the second half to put the Helias team up 1-0, only to see St. Dominic scored twice after that to win 2-1.  The Varsity ends their season with a record of 24-3-1.  The most wins in school history and a second place finish in the state.  

  • Soccer Team Moves the State Semifinals

    The soccer team beat Smithville in the quarterfinal game 2-0.  Forrest McCurren scored 11 seconds into the 2nd half and Ryan Neeley scored with 15 minutes left from an assist by Forrest McCurren.  Jorden Bax had his 7th shutout of the season.  The team's record is now  23-2-1.  They will play Cape Notre Dame in the semifinal game.   

  • Crusaders Win Districts

    The soccer team won a hard fought game against Moberly to win the Class 7 district final 2-0.  Casey Baumhoer and Kevin Miller each scored a goal.  Jorden Bax had the shutout.  The team is now 22-2-1 on the season and they play Smithville in the quarterfinal game in Blue Springs.

  • The Boys win the Semifinal against Marshall

    The varstiy boys beat Marshall 4-2 in the semifinal game of districts.  Goals were scored by Michael Schulte, Ryan Neeley, Forrest McCurren, and Conor Dermody.  Kevin Miller had 3 assists.  Their season record is now 21-2-1.

  • Varsity wins first round of Districts

    The soccer team won 5-1 over Kirksville in the first round of districts.  Forrest McCurren had 2 goals, Ryan Neeley and Grant Sherwood each had one goal.  Kevin Miller, Conor Dermody, Matt Seyer, and Forrest McCurren each had a assist.  One goal was an own goal by Kirksville.  The Varsity redoord is now 20-2-1.
