Prayers for Helias:
As we begin the discernment process to discover who the Lord Jesus Christ is calling to be president for Helias Catholic High School next year, I invite you over the weekend, while at Mass or your worship service to pray for the Helias Catholic High School Family. First, pray for a holy, strong, happy, peaceful ending to the current academic year. Second, ask the Lord who He desires to lead Helias Catholic High School next year and how you can best serve in bringing His plan to fruition.
Peace of Christ be with you!
Fr Joe Corel

Father Helias:
Please visit the Helias Facebook page and check out the link to the Father Helias page. A student is wanting to get the canonization process of Father Helias started.
In order to assist and forward the cause for sainthood for Father Helias, we are looking to increase public devotion so that he might be named "Servant of God", the first step towards canonization to sainthood. The students will be praying this prayer once a week in religion classes.
We adore You, O Lord, and we thank You for the apostolic zeal with which You
did fill the heart of Your missionary, Father Helias, and assist him to spread the Faith in central
Missouri. Grant that we may imitate his love of You, his devotion to our Blessed Mother,
his obedience to the Church, and his zeal for souls. If it be Your holy will, glorify Your faithful
servant even on earth, and through his intercession grant us the graces that we need
both for soul and body. This we ask through our Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns
with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God world without end.
Amen.
Football Raffle Tickets
All students who will be participating in any sport or activities including speech, academic team, cheerleading, dance team, choir or band during the 2013-14 school year are asked to sell Football Raffle Tickets.
Selling these raffle cards will help to cover the fee that all students involved in sports or activities are required to pay before they are allowed to participate.
If you choose not to sell any cards, you will be required to pay a $275 fee. If you sell 5 cards, you will only owe $150. If you sell 15 cards, you will pay nothing out of pocket.
The cost of the cards this year has been increased for the first time in 17 years from $20 to $25 each.
Helias Foundation Fund Drive ~
Make a Lasting Impression
The Helias Foundation annual fund drive began the weekend of April 27-28. Led by chair, Morgan Fechtel, and vice chair, Barb Sheehan, the 2013 drive goal has been set at $335,000. The annual fund drive is the Foundation’s primary fundraising endeavor of the year. Last year, due to the generosity of friends, parents, alumni and local businesses, the Foundation was able to provide $175,000 to Helias Catholic High School. All Helias Foundation funds are endowed with the earnings used to help meet the financial needs of Helias Catholic High School thereby helping to keep tuition affordable. The Annual Fund Drive provides a way for the central Missouri area to contribute knowing their gifts will truly make a lasting impression. Contributions can be made online at www.heliasfoundation.org. Thank you for your prayers and support!
